It’s all about telling stories.
I am Wiete Andrasch, a documentary photographer, writer and artist living between Antwerp and a small village in Tuscany.
I photograph, reflect and write about people, crafts and streets — always in search of the story beneath the surface. Craftspeople and their work. Portraits that reveal themselves when someone forgets the camera is there. The city street where multiple lives briefly intersect.
Good documentary photography takes time. I move slowly, observe carefully and wait for the moment that cannot be staged.
I work mainly in Belgium and northern Tuscany, but I am available for assignments throughout Europe.
